Christine Susan Weaver
I worked with Chris in the Customer Service Center in the IE Tower. She was such a pleasure to be around and she will be greatly missed. She was so fond of her family and I know you will miss her but she will always be there in your memories.
I remember her joy of life and ability to have fun
I worked with Chris in the IE customer service center for many years. I had the pleasure of working the Sunday thorugh Thursday shift, so on Sundays it was just the two of us. Chris loved her family and it showed in everything she did and said in our discussions. She was a warm fun lady that will be truly missed. My consolences to the family/ Cherish the memories.
To Chris's family, I am so sad to hear the news of Chris's passing. She was a wonderful person and friend. I met Chris in the customer service center at Alliant Energy years ago. Then later on when I was working in the Storm Lake office she would come out to work in my office when I was on vacation. She had the biggest heart and was always there if you needed to talk. God Bless your family at this sad time. Ms Dayle Broocks
Chris loved you so much. I'd get a phone call to get over right now, she just got the cutest thing I'll ever see!! Pictures of her family! She loved packing things to send. Telling me the updates of what the kids were doing, all ages... We cooked together and try though I may I could never get the stuffing recipe in actual measurements. Pinch of this and no, put in more of that... The morning phone calls, shopping at Stuff, Walmart. I loved your Mom, she had met my Mom when she stayed with me for 1 month, and Chris was there was there for me when Mom died. We talked about so much and I learned a wealth of information from her. I miss Chris so much and for me she was one of God's blessings, a true friend who I will always love dearly and someday I'll see her again in God's House. You are a tribute to your mother and father. Thank you for everything and keep in touch. Love, Evie (and Bruce, Chris and Brucie were Buddies ,and Kibby and Sissy.)
"Death is Nothing at All" by Henry Scott Holland Death is nothing at all. I have only slipped away into the next room. I am I and you are you, Whatever we were to each other, that we still are, Call me by my old familiar name, Speak to me in the easy way which you always used to, Put no difference in your tone, Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow, Laugh as we always laughed, At the little jokes we enjoyed together. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, Without the trace of a shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant, It is the same that it ever was. There is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind Because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, Somewhere very near, Just around the corner, all is well.
Kim, Bobby, Emily & Kathy, I am very sorry about your loss. You all are in my prayers and thoughts during this sad time. Chris will be resurrected and will see all of us soon. I love you all. Melissa
My thoughts and prayers go out to your entire family. I worked with Chris for several years in customer service at Alliant Energy. She had such a deep love for her family and friends. There was not a day that went by that "Daddy" and her children were not mentioned. Chris had the biggest heart of anyone I know. She will be missed.
