Nancy A. Suydam

Nancy A. Suydam, 76, of Eagle Grove, died November 12, 2011 at the Paula J. Baber Hospice House in Fort Dodge following an extended illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Iowa Cremation. Surviving are her brother Scott Hall and wife Phyllis of St. Joseph, MO and niece Ginger Hall of Aurora, IL. Nancy Alice Suydam was born on October 3, 1935 in Low Moor, Iowa the daughter of Edmund and Genevieve (Anderson) Hall. She was united in marriage to Raymond Suydam on September 15, 1965 in Carson City, NV. She was employed for over 30 years at GAB Insurance in Glendale, CA. She was a member of Eagle Grove United Methodist Church, the Eagle Grove Chorale, the Equality Club, Paddlewheel Players, and previously had directed the choir at the United Church of Christ. For the last few years she served as a hospice volunteer and had received the volunteer of the year award. She was a collector and had a vast collection of Santa figurines, stamps, nutcrackers and fiddle bottles. She greatly enjoyed fishing, traveling and her cats. She will be greatly missed.
