Leonard Alferd Clapp

Leonard Alferd Clapp, 75, of Toronto, died Wednesday July 27th at the Clarissa C Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. Iowa Cremation is assisting the family. Leonard was born July 20th, 1936 to Alferd L. and Erma E. Clapp in Cedar County Iowa. He was united in marriage to Marie Vacek on August 4th, 1972. He worked with integrity in all his endeavors and enjoyed his family. Leonard served with pride in the United States Marine Corps .during the Korean Conflict. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Engineers Local 150. He also farmed. He is survived by his wife Marie, sons Rick, of Maquoketa, Lenny of Wyoming, Jeff of Clinton .daughters Tammie Hesselmann of Eldridge, Dana Wilke of Clinton, and Heather of Tipton. Eight Grandchildren and seven Great-grandchildren. Leonard also leaves behind three siblings. Joyce Brandt of Leesburg, Florida, Verna Pieper of Iowa City and Robert Clapp of Tulsa, Oklahoma Mr. Clapp is proceeded in death by his parents and a previous spouse Donna Kuehl
