Obituary for Dennis Ray McPherson

Dennis Ray McPherson passed away quietly at home surrounded by family on July 27, 2011 after an epic 5 year battle with diabetes. His steadfast courage, patience, and indomitable humor has been an inspiration to all who have known and loved him. Preceded by his mother and father and sister Susan, Dennis leaves behind a loving wife Julie, their children Heidi & Lori, John & Jennifer, and Thomas & Jackie; brothers Doug, Gary & wife Paula. Susan & Doug’s children, nieces Jennifer and Sarah; grand children, Sally and Bill Ritchie, Jonathon, Rebecca, Danielle, and Jessica Dawson; great grand children, David and William Ritchie; 14 nieces and nephews, including Andrea Bush, Terryn Hendricks and Crystal and Michael Burgin, and their children Sarina and Kristina. 23 great nieces and nephews, and 6 great-great nieces and nephews. Since moving to Iowa, Dennis, and his wife Julie, adopted a family Angela Diamond and her three children Serenity, Hayden and Theilan. Dennis was greatly loved and will be missed by all. At his request, there will be no service.
