Obituary for Mary Williams-Cassady

Mary Williams Cassady, 66, entered into rest on January 17, 2011 due to complications of diabetes. Mary was born on March 20, 1944 in Ottumwa to Kenneth and Doris Williams. She worked for Target and retired after 15 years of dedicated service due to her illness. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family and extended family at Hillside Apartments where she had lived for the last 10 years. She especially liked playing cards with Lori, Dixie, and Larry. Survivors include her husband Michael Cassady whom she had been separated from for many years; daughter Lori Williams Alcala; granddaughter Kayley (Jeremy) Brewer Brooks; grandson Clayton Jay (C.J.) Brewer all of Ottumwa, Iowa; sister Pat (Dan) Mitchell of Linn Creek, MO; brother John (Judy) Williams of Mason City. IA; brother Dan (Jan) Williams of Blakesburg, IA; and many friends all of whom she was proud of and devoted to. A get together will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the family.
