Illene Kay Basler
Illene K. Basler, 73, of Spencer, died on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at her
home surrounded by her loving family. A memorial service is pending. Iowa
Cremation is assisting the family.
Illene Kay Basler was born on February 26, 1937 to Leland and Margaret Heien
Johnson in Spencer, Iowa. She married Dick D. Basler on May 26, 1957.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dick; children, Tamera (Jesse) Juarez
and Debra (Jim) Byars both of Spirit Lake; James A. Basler of Spencer; and
Becky (Ron) Lopez of Tracy, CA; 5 grandchildren, Desiree (James); Chris
Juarez; Jennifer Lopez; Samantha (Derek); and Ashley Lopez; 8 great
grandchildren.
Illene was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Donald Johnson; and
daughter-in-law, Charlene Basler.
