Barbara Ann Strelow
Barbara A. Strelow, 71, of rural Decorah, passed away at her home on Monday, January 10, 2011 after a lengthy illness. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 1 P.M. Saturday January 15, 2011, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah''s Witnesses on Hwy 52 in Decorah.
Surviving Barbara are two sons; Randy Strelow of Hawkeye, Lyle Strelow of Hayward, WI; three daughters; Debbie Stevens of Decorah, Kathy (Ronnie) Rustad of Decorah, Lila Strelow of Cresco; brothers; Duane Smith, Delmar Smith, Ed (Maggie) Smith and a sister Marilyn (Vernon) Locke. Also surviving are fifteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband Lyle Sr., parents Earl and Grace, a sister Shirley Smith and a brother Dickey Smith.
Barbara Ann Strelow was born February 2, 1939 in Miami, IA to Earl and Grace Smith. She married Lyle Strelow on December 15, 1956 in Waterloo, IA. She was employed until her retirement by Beatrice Foods. She enjoyed traveling, bird watching and camping with her children and grandchildren.
