Harry E. Schuster
Our family enjoyed living next to Harry. Once he came over with the most delicious pears that I ever tasted which he grew is his wonderful backyard. He was so sweet to buy some Boy Scout popcorn from my son even though he didn't think that he would be able to eat it all. I remember his love and devotion while caring for his wife. He set quite an example. It was always nice to see him working in his yard. He mowed, cut down trees, planted trees and battled the creeping charlie. He was the last one on the block to be original to the neighborhood. He will be missed.
Harry will be missed by many -- His caring, dedication, ingenuity and resourcefullness inspired many. His love of the farm and the walnut trees he planted was amazing. He really enjoyed spending days on end caring for the land on his place here in Putnam County. His long time membership in the American Tree Farm System showed his determination and value of the resources he cared for. I will miss the long conversations and short visits we had over the last 15 years.
To the family of Harry Schuster, I had the pleasure of working with Harry very early in my Rockwell Collins career in the mid '70s. He instilled in me a love for research and development that lasted for my 35 years with RC. He was always happy to explain technical terms and put it in a way that this 25 year old kid could understand. He was one of the first "greybeards" - older mentors - that I met, and he left a lasting impression of the importance of life long learning. Blessed Be, Mardi
Prayers for many blessings to you all as you mourn Harry's passing and celebrate his life.
I enjoyed the time i spent with harry and he will never be forgotten to me. I have learned so much from him up to the day he and his wife met again. His kids hold a special place and was so proud to be the father of those 4 children. And the special cards he got for his birthday i choke on reading to him cause he and his wife were amazing and the love they taught the kids are lucky to of had a father like HARRY. But rest in peace harry and don't worry about DINNA she is in great hands with your family still and that's what you would of wanted for her. And to Sue, John ,Jane, Nancy, i send you my prayers and take care god is with us all.
