Obituary for Jack Melvin Temple

Jack Melvin Temple, 65, of Glenwood, Iowa passed away peacefully on August 2, 2011 at Park Place in Glenwood, with his loving family by his side. A private memorial service will be held Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. in Lake City, Iowa. Jack was born March 29, 1946 in Marshalltown, Iowa the son of Kenneth and Ruth (Sears) Temple. Jack enjoyed music, especially the 1950’s Rock and Roll era. He lived in Park Place and was known for his outgoing personality, sense of humor, vibrant dance moves, and always listening to music with his headphones on. Jack and his roommate Robert shared many laughs together, which will be missed by all who knew Jack throughout the facility. Jack was a huge Hawkeye fan and loved the games. The family of Jack would like to thank all of the wonderful staff at Park Place who provided excellent care and support to Jack, since 2002. Left to cherish Jack’s memory include his brother Richard Temple, of Davenport, Iowa; many nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. Preceding Jack in death were his parents Kenneth and Ruth Temple; brothers Larry and Don Temple; neice Sarah Temple Nessler . In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Park Place, 114 East Green Street Glenwood, IA 51534-1902 in Jack’s name.
