Marvin Ray Elmore
Marvin R. Elmore, 68, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2010 at 7 pm at First Assembly of God Church. Hospice of Iowa and Iowa Cremation is assisting the family.
Marvin Ray Elmore was born on February 2, 1942 to Ray and Violet McDowell Elmore in Mt. Pleasant. He proudly served in the US Army. Marvin was united in marriage to Sandra White on August 22, 1964 in Mt. Pleasant. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra; 5 children; 14 grandchildren; 4 ½ great grandchildren; 1 sister; and 2 brothers.
Marvin was preceded in death by his parents; mother and father-in-law; and 2 brothers-in-law.
