Obituary for Erik Lennart Erickson

Erik Lennart Erickson, 72, of Decorah, IA passed away on Monday, November 8, 2010 in his home after a lengthy illness. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday November 20, 2010 at the United Church of Christ 209 W. Broadway Decorah, IA. Erik was born on February 19, 1938 to John and Hulda (Petersson) Erickson in Chicago, IL. He graduated from Fenger High School in Chicago, IL and went on to receive his B.A. from Augustana College in Rock Island, IL and an M.B.A. from University of Minnesota. He was Assistant Director at Coffman Union and served as a Director and Financial Advisor for Student Organizations at the University of Minnesota. In 2004 Erik moved to Decorah. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Erik is survived by his daughter Elise “Liz” (Greg) Lund of Mabel, MN, five grandchildren; Tyler, Laurrie, Kaysey, Kandie, Trent and his beloved dog Tuva. Mr. Erickson is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Bertel.
