Ernest E. Maulsby
Ernest E. Maulsby, Jr., 87, of Nashua, passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at Floyd County Memorial Hospital in Charles City. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Chenoweths in Nashua. Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa is assisting the family. Ernest Earl Maulsby, Jr. was born on June 18, 1922 to Ernest Maulsby, Sr. and Evaline White Maulsby in Earlham, Iowa. Ernest proudly served in the US Air Force during the World War II. He was united in marriage to Marian Demro on August 6, 1944 in Des Moines, Iowa. Marian passed away in 2009. Ernest worked as an airline pilot for United Airlines for 36 ½ years. He enjoyed fishing and farming. He is survived by his children, Duke (Paula) Maulsby of Anderson, CA and Nancy Galios of Nashua; 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. Ernest was preceded in death by his wife, Marian; parents; and brother, C.R. Maulsby, sister, Hazel Mason of Washington, DC., and Stephen Galios son-in-law.
