Obituary for Beverly Jean Kirkendall

Beverly J. Kirkendall, 84, of Newton died May 14, 2010 at the Nelson Manor Nursing Home. No funeral services are planned. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. She was born September 10, 1925 in Guthrie Center to Fred and Ina ( Moorhead ) Mitchell. She retired from Maytag in June 1987. Beverly enjoyed gardening, fishing and planting flowers. Beverly is survived by a son Gary (Vicky) Kirkendall of Monroe, daughters Kathy (Steve) Schwab of Colfax and Diane (Dave) Austin of Knoxville, IA, a sister Ruth Mains and sister-in-law Doris Mitchell. Also serving are 7 grandchildren and 9 great grand children. She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son Michael, sisters; Bernita, Thelma, and Gertrude and brothers; Burdette (Skip) and Irven (Murph). Any memorial contributions can be made to Nelson Manor Nursing Home.
