Obituary for Janet L. Draisey

Janet L. Draisey, 73, of 4410 Twin Pine Dr. NE formerly of Jefferson, Iowa died Friday June 18, 2010 at her home. Per Janet''s request there will be no services. Inurnment at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa in charge of arrangements. Survivors include two sons, Perri (Kim) of Keota, Dana (Cindy) of Sioux Falls, South Dakota and one sister, Donna (Dick) Monson of Gowrie. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Dustin, Lucas, Trevor, Alexandra and Patrick. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a grandson, Zachary Ryan. Janet was born on February 24, 1937 in Jefferson, the daughter of Henry and Sara Kiefer Geisler. She graduated from Drake University and married James P. "Dick" Draisey on June 13, 1959 in Gowrie. He died in 2009. Janet was an elementary teacher for 23 years; teaching in the Perry and Jefferson School Systems. A memorial fund has been established in Janet''s name.
