Obituary for Ernest A. Lee

Ernest A. Lee, 90, of Creston, IA passed away Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at the Creston Nursing Home & Rehab Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Ernest was the son of Ernest H. and Isabell (Lockett) Lee. He was born April 25, 1920 in Percival, IA. He served in the Army during World War II and later worked as a diesel mechanic. On August 5, 1950, Ernest married Lois Powers in Omaha, NE. Ernest was a member of VFW Post 3023 in Creston, IA. He greatly enjoyed his time spent fishing, hunting, watching baseball, listening to music and spending time with his wife, Lois, of 59 years. Ernest is survived by his wife, Lois; Sister, Patsy Crow of Wyoming; brothers-in-law, John Karns of Creston, IA and Fred Powers of Ankeny, IA and many nieces and nephews.
