Obituary for Jerome Meade

Jerome (Jerry) Meade, 79, of Marion passed away January 20, 2010 in his home. Per his request, Jerry was cremated. Inurnment in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Walker, IA will be at a later date. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with arrangements. Jerry was born in Walker, IA on December 15, 1930 to Gordon and Rose Meade. He graduated from Walker High School. Jerry served his country with the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. In 1954 Jerry was united in marriage to Shirley Jay, a union lasting 26 years. Following a divorce, he married Bonnie Robinson in 1981. Jerry was preceded in death by first wife Shirley, second wife Bonnie, and two sons. Survivors include 3 sons, 2 daughters, and 29 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
