Obituary for Arda Alison Alderman

Arda A. Alderman, 85, of Cedar Falls, died Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Elizabeth E. Martin Health Center. Arda Alison Alderman was born on March 22, 1924 to Allison and Jennie Auen Maynard. She was united in marriage to Maurice Alderman on April 5, 1942 in Waterloo at the Grace Brethern Church. She is survived by her husband, Maruice; children, Linda (Roger) Benning of Hilton Head Island, SC; Janna (John) Thierman of Waterloo; Daniel (Jackie) Alderman of Midland, MI; Kevin (Roxanne) Alderman of Urbandale; and a half brother, Robert Maynard of Lake View; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren. Arda was preceded in death by her parents and half brothers, Chuck Maynard and James Maynard. A Celebration of Life service will be held at Valley View Baptist Church at a later date. The Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa is assisting the family.
