Clark Lee Mikkelsen
Dear Judy and family: Hal and I want to send you our condolences in the loss of your husband and father and other friends and relatives. Hal searches the paper for those we know and we were certainly sorry to see that Clark had passed away. May the Lord comfort you all in this time of sorrow. We are not close enough to visit but our prayers will be with you. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not to your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path" Proverbs 3:5,6 I will let my sister Dorothy Goracke of Cary NC know of his passing as they were the same age. I still have pictures of them as youngsters. God Bless, Lorraine and Hal
When we lived in Decorah, Clark was our insurance agent. Clark was not only good in his professional dealings with us, but he was indeed a good neighbor. He always had a ready smile and talked to us as though we were friends. Although we have not lived in Decorah for 15 years, I have actually thought of Clark from time to time because he was the kind of man who made it so wonderful to live in that city. Our hearts go out to Clark's family during this very sad time; you have so much to be proud of in this father, husband, brother, and son. May he rest in true peace.
I grew up admiring--and entertained by--Clark's wit, wisdom and gracious manner. I learned something about being a baseball fan from him too! I missed seeing him as much later in my life, but was always aware of his spiritual, family, and community devotion. He was, and will continue to be, a powerful role model for how family and small-town values are consistent with professional success, and with a positive and caring world view. Love and condolences to his family and many good friends, Mark
Lisa, Judy, David, and family, I was so sad to have learned of Clark's death. I have good memories of his smiling face and welcoming, neighborly ways. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I hope you find comfort in knowing that he is now resting with the Lord. In prayer, Sarah Kuhlman (Johanns)
My Grandfather was a great man, I still miss him but I know he is watching all of us from above and beyond! I love you grandpa and I really miss you!
It is our pleasure to have met the MIkkelsen family and be able to enjoy our connections through the years. Thinking of you all and hoping for peace in your hearts. Paul and Bev

"I love my Twins, but I love my cars more." (Clark's quote we'll never forget as he was shining his car during the Twins game.) We'll miss our fellow Twins fan and dear friend. We'll most definitely miss the puns...no one could ever compete with him there! Our sincere condolences to all of the Mikkelsen's.
Judy, Karmon and I were very sad to hear of Clark's passing. He was a terrific mentor when I was a new employee for State Farm. But even more, he was a friend. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Mike and Karmon Bringolf
Dear Judy, So sorry to hear about Clark. I will always remember him as a good basketball player and the smartest kid in his class. M y thoughts and prayers are with you. Dorothy (Boike) Heine

Agnes & I were very saddened to hear of Clark's passing, despite knowing that he had been fighting his health problem again. Sincerest sympathy to you, Judy, and to the family of you & Clark. I have many wonderful memories from the years that I have known Clark -- in Decorah Lion's Club efforts, his interest in older cars, and our membership at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. A more kind person I have never met. I hope to attend Clark's funeral service on Thursday and extend personal condolences from Agnes & I at that time. GORDON & AGNES CHRISTIANSON

Dear Judy, Lisa, David and Families, This seems like such an impersonal way to express our deep sadness and extend our sympathies. But, we learned of Clark's death via Decorah Newspapers online obituaries. We are at our cabin in Colorado just now and won't return to Decorah until Sept. 9. Please know that we share your grief and take comfort in the many great memories of the ways we knew Clark - an all-around great guy, neighbor, fellow congregant, and insurance agent! All of you are in our thoughts and prayers - may God bless you and Clark's life. Elizabeth and Ed Kaschins, Edward and John
Much sympathy to the family....
Dear Judy & family, Our hearts and prayers are with you in your profound loss. We know that Clark "fought the good fight, finished the race, and kept the faith." His legacy will live on during this temporary separation. May your hope in Jesus guide you to the marvelous reunion we look forward to in Him. God bless and comfort all of you. Love in Christ. Norm & Cheryl Gerdes
Dear Lisa, Many years ago we went to Decorah for a Pioneer meeting and you invited us to your home. The time spent there it still in my memory as if it just happened yesterday because of the love and friendship your mom and dad reflected on their charismatic and smiling faces. I pray to God to give you strength during this very difficult time. With sincere thought and prayers. Bertha Murillo

Clark was such a great dad to Lisa and actually helped look after all of us during our time at Simpson College, and beyond. We had a great time getting to know each others families. Our thoughts and prayers are with your family.

Such a dear wonderful friend and classmate. Plus, Gary's best friend. I will always remember their laughter and reminiscing about growing up together and playing basket ball in H.S. He had a distinguished calmness about him and wonderful wit. I know you will have many wonderful memories and that he will live on in each of you. May God give you peace. Love, Marcia
My sympathies to you, Judy, and to your family! Please know prayers follow you for strength and comfort as you prepare to celebrate Clark's life.
Dear Judy and family-- I was so saddened when my mom emailed me with this news. I am so sorry to hear. Mr. Mikkelson was such a nice person and Judy, you are the epitomy of strength through all the years of illness. May that strength continue as you get through the next days and months. Kay (Bruce) Winkelman
