Warren Miller Dale

Warren Miller Dale, 89, of Osage, Iowa, passed away Tuesday April 6, 2010. He was born July 22, 1920 in Bassett, Nebraska to Charles and Jean Dale. Warren attended school in Martin, S.D. and Norfolk, Nebraska. At age 19 he moved to Gregory, SD to work with his father in the livestock trucking business, which he continued until retirement. Warren married Ruth Ralston on December 25, 1941. He joined the Navy and served in WWII. He was a member of the Gregory American Legion and VFW over 60 years. Warren was a member of the Congregational and Berean Churches in Gregory, SD and was an avid fan of the Gregory Gorilla athletic teams. Warren is survived by his wife Ruth, daughters Donneen (Mike) McKay, Jean Anne Goodmann, Georgia (Gary) Knudsen, son Wesley (Jan) Dale, eight grandchildren, 26 great-grand children and one sister, Glenda Davis. He was preceded in death by his parents Charles Dale and Jean Goldsworthy, step-father Glenn Goldsworthy, sisters Desolee Owens and Marion Upton. The family will receive friends at 2 p.m., Saturday April 10, 2010 at the home of Georgia and Gary Knudsen, 926 State Street, Osage, IA 50461.
