Thomas Jerome Driscoll

Thomas J. Driscoll Jr., 70 of Des Moines died Saturday April 17, 2010 in his home. He was the son of the late Thomas and Gertrude Driscoll. He was born in Des Moines, IA October 30, 1939. He spent most of his life in Des Moines and retired from the USPS in 1991 and moved to Cleveland, TN later returning to Des Moines. He was a member of New Testament Baptist Church and Auburn-Union Park Lodge #592. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Theresa, a sister Kathleen Driscoll, his parents Gertrude and Thomas Driscoll Sr. Survivors include his wife Marvel M. Driscoll, four sons; Thomas Driscoll III of Centralia, IL, Timothy Driscoll of Joshua, TX, Terrence Driscoll of Norwalk, IA, Todd Driscoll of Carlisle, IA, a daughter Tamara (Buono) Driscoll of Bradley, IL, Step-children Jerry Moorehead of Granger, IA, Terry Lee Moorehead of Leander, TX, Gary Kelleher of CA, Diana Kelleher of Couerd''Alene, ID, Monica Statton, Carol Papiani, Lorrie McKinney all of Des Moines, Tammy Randolph of Cleveland, TN, brothers; Michael and Vincent Driscoll, and a sister; Carolyn Haut. Thomas served in the Air National Guard from 1957 to 1963 and worked several years for the US Postal Service. He married Marvel M. Kelleher on October 12, 1985 in Granger, IA. He enjoyed model building watching birds and squirrels in his feeders and computer work. A memorial service will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday April 21, 2010 at New Testament Baptist Church 3020 E. 38th Street in Des Moines. The family request no flowers. Donations can be made and will be given to Tom''s favorite Charity.
