Obituary for Dale Ray Mills

Dale R. Mills, 76, of Belle Plaine, passed away on Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown. Services are pending. Cremation Society of Eastern Central Western Iowa is assisting the family. Dale Ray Mills was born on May 12, 1933 to Earl and Lydia Possehl Mills in Benton County, Iowa. He proudly served in the US Army during the Korean Conflict. Dale was united in marriage to Ila Selk on November 29, 1956 in Van Horne, Iowa. He enjoyed camping and farming. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Ila; son, Danny Mills of Marshalltown; daughter, Cathy Mills of Belle Plaine; a sister, Betty (Junior) Stephens of Bristol, Tennessee; and 5 nephews. Dale was preceded in death by his parents and 3 sisters, Mae Halstead, Inez Mills, and Pauline Olson; and one niece, Ann Stephens.
