Obituary for Debra Cleo Smith

Debra Cleo Smith, 52, of rural Clinton, Iowa, went to be with the Lord on June 11, 2009. Debbie passed away unexpectedly at home. A memorial service will be at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 20, 2009, at the Assembly of God Church, 610 10th Ave, Fulton, Illinois, with a photo tribute. A lunch will follow services. Cremation rites have been accorded. Debbie was born in Moline, Illinois on May 15, 1957, the daughter of Ivan (Jerry) and Hazel (Moore) Quint. She Married Bruce R. Smith on August 17, 1993 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Debbie was an extremely loving person who helped and gave to everyone she knew. She loved to go camping and fishing, but her biggest love was her husband Bruce of 16 years and her Granddaughter, Destiny, whom she and Bruce had just adopted. Debbie spent many years as a nursing assistant and very much enjoyed working with and helping the many adults and children that she came in contact with, always taking a special interest in them. She devoted her life to helping and never complained. She had a heart of gold! She is survived by her loving husband, Bruce; children, Destiny Smith of Clinton; Brandy Bark, Dodgeville, WI; Matthew Bark of Clinton; Stepchildren, Nicole Smith, Adam Smith both of Dubuque; and Eric Smith of St. Paul, MN. Her mother Hazel Quint of Albany, IL. Sister, Elsie (Howard) Reiling of East Moline, IL. Brothers Ivan Quint of Clinton; and Phillip Quint of Albany, IL Her father preceeded her in death in 1994. May they rest in Peace. A memorial fund has been established in Debbie''s name. They can be dropped off at the church or sent to Bruce Smith at 2030 400th Avenue, Clinton, IA 52732
