Obituary for Betty Smith

Betty Smith, 78, of Hudson, Iowa died June 19, 2009 at Ravenwood Nursing & Rehab Center. Betty was born June 13, 1931, in Waterloo, Iowa. She was the daughter of Dorothy (Davis) and Arthur Hamm. Betty was employed by Randall''s Stop ''N Shop in Hudson for 22 years. She was a member of the Hudson Amvets Auxiliary and a member of St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Hudson. Surviving loved ones are Daughter Kim Goodenbour (Greg) and Granddaughters Kayla and Emily Goodenbour of Reinbeck. Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Basil D. Smith, on September 19, 2008, her parents and brother Lorris Hamm. Services for Betty Smith will be held at St. Timothy Lutheran Church in Hudson on Tuesday, June 23 at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be one hour before the service.
