Fredrick “Alan” Becker, 76, of Guttenberg, IA passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2009 at Prairie Du Chien Memorial Hospital. Per Alan’s wishes, his body has been cremated. Memorial services are pending. Survivors include his wife Ann Becker of Guttenberg; son Andrew Becker (and special friend Crystal Hopper) of Mackinaw, IL; daughter Alane (Randy) Stephenson of Sand Springs, OK; sisters Jean (Lew) Smith of Tucson, AZ, and Mary (Bill) Tuecke of Marion, IA; plus three grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Alan was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Dorothy Becker and a daughter Alisa Ann. Fredrick Alan Becker was born February 5, 1933 in Guttenberg to Albert and Dorothy (Thurrow) Becker. He married Ann Breitbach on August 4, 1951 in Guttenberg. Fredrick was a veteran of the United States Army, and served in the Korean conflict. He owned and operated Becker Real Estate for many years in Guttenberg. Fredrick was an avid hunter with a love for the outdoors. In 1993 he was the Trophy Deer Hunter of the year.
