Lila M. Leibold, 77, of West Liberty, IA died Sunday, January 25, 2009 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City as a result of heart complications. Per her wishes she was cremated. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 28, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Monticello, IA. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting the family. Lila was born April 23, 1931 in Sand Springs, IA the daughter of Frank and Clara Gudenkauf Heims. She enjoyed golfing and fishing. Lila spent 48 years in the farming industry. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Survivors include her children, Julie (Tim) Picray of West Liberty; Vicki (Richard) DeShaw of Bloomington, WI; Dan (Diane) Leibold of Monticello, IA; Amy (Bob) Neff of Springfield, OH; David (Judy) Leibold of Richmond Hill, GA; and Rick (Diane) Leibold of Monticello; 13 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; a brother, Merlin Heims of Cascade; and a sister, Connie Heims of Milwaukee, WI.
