Obituary for Larry D. Harper

Larry D. Harper, 69, of Hampton, IA passed away Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Hampton Health Care Center in Hampton. Per Larry''s wishes, his body has been cremated. A memorial service with military honors will be held at a later date. Survivors include his son Jason and wife Becky Harper of Hansell, IA and their children Colten and Jaelynn; Larry Jr''s children Glenn Harper and Rollie Harper; and two sisters Arlene Crawford of Texas and Darlene Voss of Connecticut. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Carolyn, and son Larry Jr. Larry Dean Harper was born March 5, 1939 in Ingham Township to Rolland and Lorna (Kirkpatrick) Harper. He graduated from the Hansell School system. Larry married Carolyn Kay McQueen on July 22, 1961 in Mason City, IA. Carolyn passed away on March 13, 2007.
