Frederick Otto Nolting

Frederick O. Nolting, 73, of Lansing, died Wednesday, January 14, 2009 at his home of natural causes. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with arrangements. Survivors include two brothers, Ronald Nolting of Dubuque and Donald Nolting of Nevada, IA and two sisters, Marge Selberg of Waukon and Alice (Gary) Hartgrave of Marion, IA. Also surviving are nieces and nephews Kevin Ingles, Brad & Brian Selberg, Eric Hartgrave, Logan and Clarissa Nolting. He was preceded in death by his parents. Frederick was born July 15, 1935 to Otto and Ardys (Sunderman) Nolting in Waukon, IA. He graduated in 1954 from Waukon high School. He took great pride in serving his country in the US Air Force serving in Korea and Japan and later served with the Army Reserves. He loved the outdoors and was an avid reader. He was one of the original organizers of Supporters of the Allamakee County Sportsman Club.
