Donna L. Vander Veer
Donna L. Vander Veer, 72, of Seymour, IA died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Continental Care Center at Seymour. Per her wishes she was cremated. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting the family. A get together celebration of her life will be held at a later date. Donna was born January 17, 1937 in Davenport, IA the daughter of T.C. Sprague and Lois Mirranda. She married Jack Vander Veer on December 30, 1955 at St. Mark''s Church in Davenport, Iowa. She enjoyed fishing, bowling, crocheting, and collecting Shirley Temple dolls. Donna was an avid Hawkeye and Cub fan. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Jack; a daughter, Tamara Vander Veer of Davenport, IA; 2 sons, Gordon (Anita) Vander Veer of Texas and William Vander Veer of Centerville, IA; 4 granddaughters, Mandi, Lindsay, Elaina, and Kelsey; 2 sisters, Mary Jo Connell of Moline, IL and Judy Anderson of Missouri; and a brother, Thomas Sprague of Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Larry.
