Virginia Ruth Van Duzer
I would like to express my deepest sympathy to the Van Duzer family. I spent much of my childhood hanging out at Virginia and Fred's house playing with Stephen. One of my favorite memories was eating her homemade popsicles during the summer! My thoughts are with your family.
It is so very comforting to read mother's past students' and friends' testimonials about how wonderful she was as a teacher and friend. Mother was my best friend. I miss her so much. Her legacy will live on by living each day to the fullest. Sarah Van Duzer Nelson
I first met Virginia in about 1942 when I was three years old. I knew instantly that she adored children, and I loved her from that moment. I recall walking down a street at twilight in Menlo, my small hand in hers. She was the dearest, sweetest woman in the world, and I know that she is happy to be reunited with her beloved Frederick. My deepest sympathies to Curly, Sarah, and your entire family. Love, Jane
Curly,Sarah, and Family, I am so sorry for your loss of your wonderful, one-of-a-kind mother. What an amazing teacher and role model she was for me. Classy yet fun, disciplined yet spontaneous, a keen wit who was beautiful to the bone. What a wealth of memories you must have! She was one of my mom's few real friends in Menlo. I'm sorry I didn't return more often to let her know how much she meant to me. God's grace and comfort be with you all.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to both Carole & Sarah...........
Our family has many wonderful memories of your Mom. She taught 3 generations of Enrights. Jim & Jerry have great memories of camping and making S'mores with your folks and Stephen. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Sarah and Carole Sorry to hear about your loss. Your mother was a dear neighbor and a joy to work with when she taught. I will remember many the good times that we had together.
I knew Virginia as Aunt Ginnie for a number of years through email, phone and my brother Charlie. She will be missed by all who knew her
My thoughts and prayers are with you all. Virginia was a great friend to our family and an influence in my life. She taught me to appreciate literature and good grammar and music. What memories we have of camping in Springbrook. She was a woman of grace and class with a warm and funny way about her. She had a way of putting one at ease and making you feel special. She will be missed.
A long a meaningful life has been completed and Aunt Ginnie will be remembered for her many gifts and talents as well as her delight in folks, both young and old, around her. I was blessed to be part of her family as were my husband and our family.

Sarah, Carol and families: So sorry about your loss. Living neighbors to your folks for many years and working for your dad in his feed store, I felt so honored to know your folks. Stephen spent alot of time at our house, and my kids at your folks. Your mother was a wonderful woman in every way. She made very good corn chowder. How she loved camping, riding her moped and bike. Such an uplifting person. She helped my son pass some of his GED tests. She was such a good listener, and teacher. You are in my thoughts and prayers. God Bless your family. She was very proud of her family. Sincerely, Linda (McKibbin) Herrick
Sarah and Creighton, we were sorry to hear of Ginnie's death, however, we know she lived a good life and was lucky to have a family that was close to her and cared so much for her. Our thoughts are with you and your kids. No matter what age, it is difficult to lose a parent-we will pray for comfort for you.

Carol/Sarah - i hope you remember the Walls from Menlo. I was reading the paper today and am sad to hear about your Mom. What a wonderful lady. She and your Dad were great neighbors when we lived by them in Menlo with our own lil family not to mention growing up together in Menlo too. My condolences to you and your family. God bless you. Karen Wall Penton
May you all find strength and peace in knowing that your beloved mother, grandmother, aunt was a blessing to so many lives through out her long, productive one. I cherish memories of being her next-door neighbor (twice!) - she sure knew how to make a great ice cream soda! What a great teacher and roll model she was - her enthusiasm for everything and love of learning were certainly contagious. Carol and Sarah, I've no doubt that her good buddy, Delores, was there to greet her as she went to be with the Lord. Love and prayers, Jan
We were sorry to hear about the passing of Virginia. She was a very special lady to Larry and Stephen when they were growing up and later in life. The Larry McKibbin family
Carole & Sarah, Thinking of you & sending condolences on Virginia's death. What a wonderful teacher she was! It was a privilege to be a student of hers in the 7th & 8th grades at Menlo. In my 4 years of high school after that, I never had a teacher as good as her. I was glad to have her as a teacher and a friend as well. I know good memories of her will be a comfort to you.

She was a stellar teacher. She taught me more about teaching in one year than all of my education classes in college. Forty two years later, I'm still using some of her "tricks."

Curly and Sarah, I am sorry I had not heard about this sooner or I would have attended. Your mom was a great insperation for everyone at Menlo Schools. My wife Barabara and I send our condolences to both of you in these times.
