Obituary for Kenneth D. Jones

Kenneth D. Jones, 69, of Davenport, died Monday, February 16, 2009 at his home after a long illness. Memorial Gathering will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2009 from 11 am to 4 pm at Metropolitan Community Church, 3019 N Harrison St., Davenport. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with the arrangements. Surviving is his wife, Mary Ann Jones; a daughter, Debra Jones; two sons, Shawn (Becky) Jones and David (Troy Ewalt) Jones all of Davenport; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; two brothers; and one sister. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister. Kenneth Dale Jones was born June 27, 1939 in Memphis, Texas to Walter and Hazel Nix Jones. He married Mary Ann Speth on October 13, 1962 in Yuma, Arizona. He was a member of the Gold Wing Touring Association Chapter H of Illinois. He retired from J.I. Case Company in Bettendorf and Burlington, Iowa. Also, retired from Walmart. His hobbies include fishing, racing, and motorcycles. He proudly served his country in the US Navy.
