Obituary for Sam D. Patterson

Sam D. Patterson, 70, of Hiawatha died Tuesday, December 22, 2009 in his home. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is assisting the family. Survivors include his wife, Mavis "Sharon" Patterson; Brother, Dr. Alan D. Patterson of Osceola, IA; Sister, Elenor Quinn of Atwater, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Jayne Funk, Colleen Oxford, Karen Palmer and Kay Patterson. Sam Daley Patterson was born May 5, 1939 in Chariton, IA the son of Loren & Elizabeth (Halferty) Patterson. He served one enlistment in the U.S. Air Force.
