Richard M. Kersch, 75, of Bernard, died at his home on Wednesday, April 1, 2009. Per Richard’s request no services will be held. The Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa is assisting with arrangements. Richard was born on May 8, 1933 in Dubuque, Iowa to Robert and Margeurit (Kersch) Ohnesorge. He proudly served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a roofer for 40 years. Richard enjoyed watching western movies. He is survived by his 5 sister, Roberta Valentine of Bernard; Rita Noel of Dubuque; Anita White of Dubuque; Shirley Williams of East Dubuque, IL; Betty Rosenthal of Dubuque; 3 brothers, Bruce Ohnesorge of Dubuque; Steve Ohnesorge of Dubuque; Dennis Ohnesorge of Cedar Rapids and 2 children, Dawn and Roger both of Phoenix, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Bobby and Roger.
