I was saddened to get the call about Aunt Billie. Another piece of that generation gone. I always appreciated Rilla making me feel a part of the familty, from the time I was 18 years old, to the last time we spoke, she always took the time to talk and catch up. I'll miss her.

Rest in Peace Billy, with Berl now together in the arms of our Lord. I will always remember the fun times visiting with her when she came to California to visit her son, Craig. Thanks for the memories...and the cookie recipies!

I had the pleasure of meeting Billie at the Menefee reunion 2 years ago. Her warm welcome to me as a new member of the family is something I will always remember. I know she was loved dearly by her children, and will be reunited with her husband now. My thoughts and prayers are with the whole family. Love, Isabel

Dean and I and our kids send our sympathies to all of you, from Billie's sons to daughter-in-law to her great-grandsons. We know she was loved by many and now can vision her with Uncle Bill, somewhere between the rolling meadows and bodies of water. We love you all and want you to remember that family is forever.

I couldn't have been more than 3 or 4 when I thought I could walk by myself to your house in Guthrie from Grandpa & Grandma's. The rest is fuzzy, I think I ended up getting quite lost. But what I do remember is that I was intent on climbing all those stairs to the front door and walking into that warm kitchen that smelled so wonderful. Another vivid memory that lasted more than an instant was the years that Berl and Billie had all three sons involved (and out of the states) in the Vietnam Conflict. They were so proud. But as the years went by, I realized their suppressed concern for their sons...I want to say there were 8 pins (1 for each grandson in Vietnam) on that map in Grandma Menefee's living room. Can that be right?!
