Earl Theodore Parmer

Earl Theodore Parmer, 78, of Cedar Rapids died Sunday October 12, 2008 in his home after a long illness. Per his request, there will be no public services. Earl is survived by his wife, Betty; four daughters; Deb (Bob) Cummings of Coggon, Cathi (Lester) Kelsey of Central City, Kim (Matt) Matias of Cedar Rapids and Loree Parmer also of Cedar Rapids, two sons; Ted Parmer of Cedar Rapids and Philip Parmer of Hiawatha. Also surviving are ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren as well as many nephews, nieces, and cousins. Earl Theodore Parmer was born August 24, 1930 in Morriah, MO to William and Lucy Parmer. He is a veteran of the US Army serving in Korea. He married Betty Wright on August 13, 1951 in Iowa City. Earl spent many wonderful years with his family camping and was able to spend his last few months enjoying his new camper and spending time with his family.
