Mary Ann Cooper
Mary Ann Cooper, 74, of Prairieburg, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died November 17, 2008 at Crestview Acres Care Center following an extended illness. Per Mary''s wishes no services will be held. Burial will take place at Oak Hill Cemetery. Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Eastern-Central-Western Iowa. Surviving are her son Steven Lewis and wife Julie; a brother Stanley Younce; 2 grandchildren; and her friends Merle Pillard and Juli Servitaus. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Hiriam. Mary Ann Cooper was born March 5, 1934 in Cedar Rapids the daughter of George and Anna (Dzik) Younce. She was united in marriage to Hiriam T. Cooper, he preceded him in death. She worked for several years as a custodian for KCRG TV-9. She greatly enjoyed her miniature poodles, collecting dolls, and movies from the 30''s and 40''s. Memorial donations in Mary''s name may be made to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
