Lois W. Laughlin
Our deepest sympathies in your loss. Our thoughts and prayer.
We are truly saddened at the loss of your loved one. We always admired Lois and enjoyed visiting with her whenever the opportunity arose. She had a wonderful zest for life and thirst for knowledge. She will be missed!! Our deepest sympathies to all of you.
The Laughlin family was very influential in the restart of Scattergood as a school in the 1940's, and Lois and Don touched many of the students' and staff lives. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.
We are all lucky to have had Lois in our lives. To my Laughlin cousins,I love you all and hope to see you again soon. Take good care of each other.

I have known Lois since 1993. She was my mother-in-law. Of all of the moms I have ever been taken home to meet, Lois was the best, period! No pressure as soon as she said the first hello. Her sense of humor took me by surprise, considering her age (not that I am young). Don and Lois are the nicest people I have ever known in my whole life. In fact, the entire Laughlin family are that way. I was never able to make the typical mother-in-law jokes about Lois. They just didn't work. She was pretty much the perfect mother-in-law. What I may have lost from not being able to make the MIL jokes, I gained a thousand fold just from knowing her. She had a wonderful, odd sense of humor that I understood. Now that she's gone, I am reading things about her I did not know. She was even more impressive than I knew! I am going to miss her so much.
Roger, Connie and Family- Sorry to read that your mother passed. We wanted you to know we are thinking o you and praying she is at peace. May you find a memory each day to make you smile. You are in our thoughts- Tammy(Budreau) and Jeff Salm
Dear Don, John's daughters, Cathy, Fran and Janet, and I all send you our loving condolences. Lois was a truly wonderful woman and we are very glad to have known her, especially at those mini-reunions we had. warm hugs from all of us to you and your family.
I am so sorry for your family's loss. One memory I have of your Mom was when I went to your door to sell girl scout cookies, she said "I'm sorry but we always buy from the Leighty girls." I then introduced myself and realized at that moment that we had a real monopoly on the cookie business in Springdale. Hang on to your memories. With deepest sympathy, Kathy Leighty Knoop
Harold and I loved Lois very much. Her Quaker witness was always so empowering to us. Her sense of humor and great listening powers .. we will miss her so much and know all her family will miss her as well. All our love and prayers go out to Don and family, Kathy and Harold
I am so sorry for your loss. Lois was a wonderful person, one whom I admired and thought of as a role model. You have my prayers and thoughts. With Deepest Sympathy, Margaret Brumm

Our deepest sympathies in your loss. Our thoughts and prayer.
In Lois Laughlin the people of the world have lost a great friend,how-ever her legacy of goodness shall persist. She joins many great angels in the continued pursuit of righteousness. In life she suffered more than a fair share of grief but her Quaker faith was always there for solis. And so to,regard-less of slings and arrows she remained a steadfast advocate of social justice.Certainly with all sympathy but in place of sorrow we must rejoice in a life very well lived To Don and family I extend strength for this endeavor. God bless you all,Warren Hayslett
To Lois's many friends and family who read this, please accept my wishes that the sorrow of the loss of such a wonderful part of your life may be lesser because she lived a life full of peace, quiet and love. May your adjustment to her being on the other side be eased knowing that you can warm yourselves with the happy memories of those days when she was here with you. My best wishes to you all Betty Tipton former Co-worker with Lois
