James T. Houlihan, 48, of Harpers Ferry, IA passed away Thursday, March 20, 2008. Per his wishes, James was cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later date. James was born July 24, 1959 in Waukon, IA, the son of James and Mary "Bernie" (Aylward) Houlihan. James graduated from Waukon High School in 1977. He enjoyed the outdoors and trapping, and was a big fan of the Iowa Hawkeyes, the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Twins. Survivors include his son, Ross (Tara) Kolsrud and their children Andrew and Lillian of Lansing, IA; one sister, Kay Houlihan of Waukon, IA; four brothers, Pat (Kathy) Houlihan and their children Katie, Sean, Erin, Colin, and Tara of LaCrosse, WI, Dennis (Mona) Houlihan and his children Brenden and John of Dubuque, IA, Tom Houlihan and his children Kevin and Ellen of LaCrosse, WI, and Brian (Michelle) Houlihan and their children Micheal and Breanna of Lansing, IA. James was preceded in death by his parents James and Mary Houlihan, and one brother John Houlihan. Memorials may be directed to the family for memorial of their choice.
