Obituary for Edward Dwayne Vogt

Edward Dwayne Vogt, 72, of Eldridge, IA died Sunday March 23, 2008 at home after a long illness. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday April 26, 2008 at the Rustic Ridge Club House in Eldridge from 1:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Survivors include his wife Donna; two sons, Hank (Teresa) Vogt of Chapin, SC, and Pete (Sherri) Vogt of Brooklyn, CT; one sister, La Dora Buck of Hemet, CA; five grandchildren. Edward was preceded in death by his parents. Edward was born August 14, 1935, in Van Cleve, the son of Henry and Bertha Ritterodt Vogt. He married Donna Garrett on December 18, 1959 in Melbourne. Edward worked as a teacher for over 30 years at West High School in Davenport after serving in the Army during WWII. Memorials may be directed to the family.
