Charles David Rozinek

Charles David Rozinek, 75, of Nora Springs, died Monday, March 10, 2008, at his home surrounded by his loving family. Per his wishes, he was cremated. The memorial service will be Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 1:00 pm at Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd, IA with Rev. Paul Phillips. Inurnment will be at Park Cemetery in Nora Springs. The Cremation Society of Central Iowa is handling arrangements. Survivors include his loving wife, Rosemary; 1 daughter, Karen (Chuck) Moore of Coggon; 3 sons, William (Sonja) Rozinek of Joplin, MO, Dennis (Kathy) Rozinek of Oceanside, OR, Brian (Lyn) Rozinek of Beliot, WI; 4 step-daughters, Cheryl Blakely and Roseanna (Richard) Bagur both of Nora Springs, Michelle (Dan) Stanislawski of New Brighton, MN, Krista Welsch of Rudd; 2 step-sons, Joseph (Martha) Welsch and Chuck (Beth) Welsch both of Monticello; 3 sisters, Libbie Stahl, Marie Kraul, and Rose Ulch all of Solon; 1 brother, James Rozinek of Mundlien, IL; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Charles was preceded in death by his parents; 6 brothers, Joe, Victor, George, Frank, Paul and Louis Rozinek; and one sister, Millie Krob. Charles David Rozinek was born December 30, 1932 in Solon, IA the son of Alois and Francis Adam Rozinek. He married Rosemary Welsch on July 7, 1986 in Fort Scott, Kansas. He enjoyed camping, fishing, traveling, family gatherings, gardening, and wood work. Charles worked for the Linn County Road Department for 17 years and drove a semi truck for 20 years. He was a member of the American Legion in Nora Springs and a member of the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Floyd.
