Leah M. Tammeus

Leah Maureen Tammeus (1937 – 2008) Leah Tammeus, 70, died at Allen Memorial Hospital Monday, June 2. She was born on November 19, 1937 to Howard and Mildred (Lidke) Bunting at home in rural southern Minnesota just south of Westbrook, Minnesota. She was baptized at Rosehill Lutheran Church in Rosehill Township in Cottonwood County, Minnesota. She married James Tammeus on March 29, 1958. Leah graduated from Augustana University with a degree in business in1957. She was the office manager and bookkeeper for her husband''s veterinary practice for over 30 years. She enjoyed quilting and crafting as well as reading. Leah is survived by her husband; two daughters, Leslie Carney (Jim) and Elisa Tammeus; son Dane Tammeus (Lori); four grandchildren, Grant Keller, Kirsten Keller, Katie Tammeus, and Emma Tammeus; and her brothers Robert Bunting (Teddy) and Voyne Bunting (Dianne). She was preceded in death by her parents. A Memorial Service will be held Friday June 6 at Trinity Reformed Church in Allison, Iowa at 11:00 and on Saturday June 7 at Grace Lutheran Church in Westbrook, Minnesota at 10:30. Burial will follow the Memorial Service in Westbrook at the Emmanuel Lutheran Cemetery, Rosehill Township, Cottonwood County, Minnesota.
