Obituary for Wilma Irene Gaarder

Wilma Irene Gaarder, 86, 302 9th Street, Charles City died Sunday, July 27, 2008 at Chautauqua Guest Home following a long illness. It was Wilma''s wish to be cremated. Graveside services will be held at a later date. Survivors include a daughter, Bonnie Marreel (Larry) of Long Beach, MS; granddaughter, Corrine (Ronald Gebhart) Marreel and grandson, Larry (Donna) Marreela; and two great grandchildren, Julia and Emma. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Duane. Wilma was born July 6, 1922 in Packard, Iowa the daughter of Walter and Myrtle (Dean) Newton. She married Milton Ward in 1939 in Missouri. To this union a daughter, Bonnie, was born. They later divorced and she later married Duane Gaarder on November 3, 1972 in Mexico.
