Obituary for James Junior Hill

James Junior Hill, 86, of Searsboro, IA died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Per his wishes he was cremated. Graveside Memorial Services are pending. James is survived by his wife, Carolyn; two daughters, Charlotte Lemke of New Sharon and Ellen (Rick Neville) Hill of Tama; two sons, Raymond Hill of Tama and Jack Hill of Grinnell; five grandchildren, Elizabeth, Robert, Cody, Kay Lee, and Rick Jr.; and six great grandchildren, Helle, Paul, Natashia, Kayla, Steven, and Jenna. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Alice; parents, granddaughter, Tina; three sisters, and two brothers. James was born June 26, 1922 to Fred and Rena Fawcett Hill in Greenfield, Iowa. James proudly served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Carolyn Rae White on July 17, 1970. James worked on the Rock Island Railroad for 13 years and was part of the City of Grinnell Pork Board for 2 years.
