Theodore S. Yoder, 79, of Camanche, IA passed away Saturday, February 9, 2008 at home with his family by his side. Per his wishes, Theodore was cremated. Visiting with the family will begin at 10:00 A.M., with a memorial service following at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, February 16, 2008 at the Clinton Evangelical Free Church, 1010 13th Ave. N, Clinton, IA. Theodore Samuel Yoder was born July 24, 1928 in Sharon Center, IA, the son of Omar and Emma (Petsel) Yoder. He married Kathryn Jeanne Crow on June 22, 1957 in Sharon Center, IA. Theodore graduated from Kalona High School in 1946. He served his country in the United States Army during the Korean conflict from March 22, 1951 until his honorable discharge on March 20, 1953. He then went on to earn his BS degree in Le Mars, IA. Theodore was self-employed at Bontrager Machine and Welding from 1957 to 1971. He was then employed by National By-Products in Clinton, IA from 1971 until his retirement in 1993. He was a member of the Old Capitol Barber Shop Chorus in Iowa City and a member of the Gideon''s in Iowa City and Clinton. Survivors include his wife Jeanne Yoder of Camanche; three sons, Daryl (Wendy) Yoder, Jeff (Nancy) Yoder, and Keith (Sarah) Yoder; two daughters, Kay (Ray) Baker, and Karen (Gary) Koller; plus ten grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and one sister. Memorials may be directed to the Gideon''s International in Theodore''s name.
