Mervin D. Beeson, 65, of Conrad, IA formerly of Bode, IA, died Thursday, December 11, 2008, at his home surrounded by his family. Per his wishes, he was cremated. The Cremation Society of Eastern Iowa is assisting the family. Survivors include his 2 daughters, Kelley (Jeff) Quinn of Conrad and Jenny Montgomery of Hannibal, MO; 2 sisters, Margaret and Sharon; 5 grandchildren, Daniel Heise, Chelsea Quinn, Corey Quinn, Colin Quinn; and Jonathan Montgomery; and special friends, Jolene Johnson and family. He was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Milton "Bub" and James Beeson. Mervin Doyle Beeson was born July 25, 1943, in Pensacola, Florida, the son of Erskin and Blanche Logan Beeson. He proudly served his country by enlisting in the Air Force during Vietnam. He liked electronics, music, photography and ceramics. Mervin enjoyed flying planes as well as putting together model airplanes. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Mervin''s name at MidWestOne Bank 120 W. Center Street, Conrad, IA 50621.
