Obituary for Carl Lee Moats

Carl Lee Moats, 59, of Grundy Center died at his residence on Tuesday, October 21, 2008. Memorial Services will be held on Friday October 24th at 10 am at Ivester Church of the Brethren in rural Grundy Center. Survivors include his wife, Gwen, and two daughters, LeAnna (Craig) Buskohl and Brenda (Kyle) Geerdes both of Waterloo. Also surviving are grandchildren Caiden Buskohl and Evelyn Geerdes. He was preceded in death by his parents. Carl Lee Moats was born June 17, 1949 in Grundy County to Glen and Gladys Moats. On October 17, 1970 he married Gwendolyn Brown in Marshalltown, IA. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial fund has been established.
