Yola Clark

Yola Clark, 94, of Marion, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28, 2008 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House after a long illness. There will be no services. Cedar Memorial Westside Chapel is in charge of arrangements. Yola Clark was born in 1914 in Brooklyn, New York of Italian parents. When she was born, Russia still had a Czar and the airplane was not viewed as a viable form of transportation. The stories she could and would tell about growing up in Brooklyn always brought smiles if not outright laughter. She married Vernard Clark in 1943 and moved to Iowa. Their only son, Ron was born in 1944 and now resides with his wife, Betty, in Marion, Iowa. She brought a smile to those she met and will be missed by all she knew. I will miss you, mom. The family would like to thank all the special people at Crestview Acres and Hospice of Mercy as well as Dr. Jerome Janda. Please leave a tribute or memory for the family on our webpage at www.cedarmemorial.com under obituaries.
