William Roger Palmer
I always enjoyed being around uncle Roger, after all I was named after him. Although we didn't see each other that often I will always cherish the times got together. Go Yankees.Roger, Michiko, Mariah and Cody
First of all our heart felt condolences to the Palmer family. I have always considered Roger & Norma friends. There are so many stories from Roger's umpiring days, my players always enjoyed his wit and conversation during games. The faulty gatherings at the Palmer house carry fond memories, even the parrot. Norma, know that Bev and I considered it a joyful part of our lives to have you as a teacher friend and Roger a friend. I'll stop in for a chat in the near future...maybe some of your delicious cake. Ned & Bev
A lot of people are going to miss Roger, myself included. I feel privileged to call him my friend.
Uncle Roger will be missed but my great memories of him will be here forever. I will always remember humid hot Iowa and his great laugh. Tammy & Family
Norma and Pat, I'm so sorry to hear about Uncle Rog. I only wish I would of known more about his poor health in the past years. My thoughts and prayers are with you both at this difficult time. Teri (Palmer) Gunderson

Uncle Rog was one of the warmest and most generous people in my life. The hospitality and joy will be sorely missed.
Roger was truly one of the biggest ambassadors the City of Hampton will ever have. I doubt anyone can say that they ever walked away from a conversation with Roger and didnât know what his position was. While there is absolutely no doubt that he was the peoples Mayor, he was also our friend and we will miss him deeply.

My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. I will remember Roger has an advocate for responsible government, a huge promoter of Hampton and Franklin County, as well as a champion of the underdog. God Bless Karen Schmidt
