Edna: Just wanted to let you know, that you and your family are in my prayers. I will bet my mom and dad (Merle & Marie) were excited to see Bud in heaven. You know their already working the special team of horses up there. I can hear Bud laugh - his life was blessed and beautiful. Bud would want you to find strength and happiness in the days ahead and you will.

My mother, Theresa, told me the news recently. I am very saddened by how abruptly this happened. I have only a handful of memories of the times I spent visiting Aunt Edna and Uncle Bud, but they are very good memories. Your horses were always the most forgiving for my lack of horse-riding skills. "Hawkeye" is still my favorite horse of all time! Thank you Uncle Bud for taking the time to make sure we had fun every time Amanda and I came to visit. I'm sad to know that next time I come to Iowa you will not be the one showing us all your magnificent animals and saddling up the horses for us. I know you will be watching over your family from heaven and I wish you the best on your new journey... Love, Andrew

Words are hard to come by with the loss of our friend Bud. We will miss him and think of him every time we load our horses and head out on the trails. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers and may time bring you the peace and comfort you deserve as you go through the stages of this hard time in your lives. Your family has been there for us and we will do the same for you.
