Obituary for John Donahue

John Henry “Jack” Donahue, 76, of North Liberty, IA – formerly of Bode, IA – lost his battle with cancer on Wednesday, October 31, 2007 at his home residence in North Liberty. John “Jack” Donahue was born September 15, 1931 in Palmer, IA to Edward and Elizabeth (Donahoe) Donahue. He grew up and attended school in the Palmer area. In December of 1952 he began serving his country as a member of the Army. On December 5, 1964 he married Diana Sue Struthers in Pocahontas, IA. Jack was engaged in farming his entire life. Survivors include two daughters, Margaret Ann (Matthew) Hodges of Colorado Springs, CO and Jacqueline Krain of North Liberty, IA; and grandson Henry Dylan Krain, also of North Liberty, IA. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Edward Donahue Jr. A Memorial Service will be held Monday, November 5, 2007 at Wilson-Lentz Funeral Home in Livermore, IA at 11:30 AM.
