Gerald Francis Novak, 54, of Burlington passed away on Friday October 26, 2007, at his cabin near Gladstone, IL of cancer. Per his wishes, Gerald was cremated and there will be Celebration of Life gathering 6:00 PM Friday November 2, 2007 at the Shoquoquon Boat Club in Burlington, IA. Gerald is survived by two sons; Peter (Regina) Novak of Oregon, IL and Jacob Novak of Sheboygan, WI, one daughter, Maria (William) Gregory of White Lake, MI and two brothers, Ronald and Larry Novak both of Detroit, MI. Also surviving are three grandchildren and friend Karen Wixom. His parents and a sister preceded Gerald in death. Gerald was born November 12, 1952 in Detroit, MI to Peter and Joanne Novak. He owned and operated Pace Performance Industries in Burlington. He was a member of the Shoquoquon Boat Club, Free Masons, Ducks Unlimited, and The National Wild Turkey Federation. He enjoyed spending his time hunting and fishing, boating, and any type of shooting sports. A Memorial Fund has been established.
